Among the notable high profile speakers was His Excellency, Ambassador Morie Manyeh, the High Commissioner of Sierra Leone to United Kingdom and Ireland. He sensitised on equal opportunities and honesty when it comes to investors setting up in Africa. “There are plenty of opportunities in Sierra Leone in mining, agriculture, infrastructure and more however, both sides ought to be honest with their intentions. We welcome progressive economic development .” Said Ambassador Manyeh.

The Ambassador of Somaliland, Abdi Hersi welcomed investors to visit Somaliland and explore new markets.

David Smith, founder of British African Business Alliance and a key partner to Diaspora Economic Forum emphasised on the importance of Africa being at the centre of global economic growth.

Diaspora Economic Forum(DEF) has been founded by Professor Pauline Long to bridge the gap between Africa, Diaspora and the rest of the world.

The main event is on Africa Day on 25th May.

Diaspora Economic Forum launched in U.K. Parliament with over 60 business leaders in attendance hosted by Lord John Taylor of Warwick.

The exclusive high profile event brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, business executives and investors under one roof to discuss the prospects of heavily investing in Africa.

Lord Taylor emphasised on the need for Africa to focus on AI as the world is changing rapidly in the wake of global economics.
